The objective of the research was to study the rate of fixation of two cocoa production systems (monoculture, agroforestry systems) based on the estimation of tree, leaf litter, herbaceous biomass, where four plots of 4 m x 25 m were installed, the economic valuation of both systems was studied, the results were: For monoculture, cocoa biomass was:  25.59 t/ha, leaf litter biomass was 2.03 t/ha, tree biomass with 0.31 t/ha, while carbon in plant biomass was: 12.57 t/ha, with a fixation of 1.57 t/ha. In the cocoa and Guazuma crinita  C. Martius production system, the biomass of cocoa trees was: 13.17 t/ha, while the forest species was: 48.72 t/ha, the contribution of leaf litter with 1.13 t/ha, and the herbaceous with 0.33 t/ha. While the carbon stored in plant biomass was: 28.51 t/ha, the carbon fixation rate was 3.56 t/ha. With respect to the economic valuation of both production systems, the Net Present Value (NPV) for cocoa monoculture reached $2,782.42 and the cocoa agroforestry system associated with bolaina reached $11,168.16 in the Aguaytía area, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for the cocoa monoculture system with 32% and the cocoa agroforestry system associated with bolaina 55%.  it is concluded that the cocoa agroforestry system associated with bolaina offers the best investment, while the Cost Benefit (B/C) in the cocoa monoculture system was: 2.18 and the cocoa agroforestry system associated with bolaina was: 3.17.
