Omics sciences along the cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) value chain: search, screening and charting data of a scoping review (2007–2026)

Data and code of a PRISMA-ScR scoping review mapping 315 studies (2007–2026) that apply omics technologies (genomics, transcriptomics, meta-omics, proteomics and peptidomics, metabolomics, sensomics and multi-omics) along the cacao value chain. Includes the search strategies for five databases, the 1,091 screened records with their decisions, the classification of the included studies by omics layer and value-chain stage, the PRISMA-ScR checklist, figure data and scripts. Abstracts and metadata from Scopus and Web of Science are not redistributed
