To evaluate the effect of two biofertilizers on cacao seedling production, a randomized block design with three replicates was used, consisting of three treatments: a control (T1), Azotobacter 0.26 g (T2), and Phosphorin 0.22 g (T3). The results showed an increase in the evaluated parameters for both treatments. The best treatment with respect to plant height (24.5 cm) was T3 with the use of phosphorin. Similarly, T3, when treated with Azotobacter, stimulated an increase in the number of leaves, with an average of 6.9 leaves compared to the other treatments. This is attributed to the action of the biofertilizers in the soil-plant environment, as they facilitate nutrient assimilation because the nutrients are readily available in the soil for plant absorption.
