This research of Carbon footprint (CFP) of traditional and predominant agricultural systems in the municipality of Falan Tolima was done according to the land uses. For that reason as a sampling, I establish six treatments. The first one was cacao as a single-crop. The second, avocado trees with plantain. The third treatment was cacao with avocado. The forth one was cacao with plantain. The fifth was corn as a single-crop. And finally, sugar cane as a single-crop. The studies of all these treatments tried to estimate the carbon sequestration and the emissions in order to determine which of these systems were friendlier with the environment. Then, I did temporarily plots of samplings (TPS) and I recollected some information from trees. Next, the implementation of alometric models in order to know tC/ha of each treatment using the carbon´s fraction according to IPCC 2003, with a view to transform biomass in carbon knowing the storage tC/ha/per year. Also, the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions were estimated from the production and application of fertilizer nitrogen, burning and fossil fuels using during cultivation practices. Information was obtained from a survey of farmers.
