Factores de éxito socio-ambiental del cultivo de cacao como alternativa productiva a los cultivos ilícitos en el municipio de San Andrés de Tumaco

The drug trafficking problem has permeated different spheres of Colombian society, generating or strengthening pre-existing social problems such as violence, poverty, insecurity and the degradation of the social structures. In this way, this document aims to determine socio-environmental success factors for the development of cocoa cultivation as a productive alternative to illicit crops in the municipality of San Andrés de Tumaco; territory that has shown a strong prevalence of the phenomenon of illicit crops in recent years, but which has simultaneously become a national reference for the quality and particularity of the cocoa produced there.
