This research was conducted from January to August of 2012 at the Experimental Farm "La Represa", owned by the State Technical University Quevedo (UTEQ), located in the Upper Rio Guayas Basin 90 meters above the Tues Its objective was the "Assessment of self-compatibility in some cultivars of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) and Trinity National in the Ecuadorian Coast" and Assess the general objective of self-compatibility of clones and Trinitario cacao National type for the Ecuadorian Coast and as specific Select type clones National and Trinitario cocoa, with greater genetic self-compatibility; to Determine cocoa clones for good productive performance, health and quality. Selfings was performed in 44 clones and Trinitario cocoa National type, pollinating 20 flowers in each clone was determined 8 polinizations successful (40%) were fertilized, considered self-compatible clone. We used the chi-square test statistic (x2) abscisiónal arrest and 5% level of probability. Variables were also taken of flower size, flower weight, length of sepal, width sépalo, petal length, petal width and length of these variables was performed peduncle para correlations and also did the statistical test of frequency distribution. Clones with greater self-compatibility were 27 and represent 61% of the total genetic material studied and presented a fertilization of 40 to 80%. Clone 12-27 CCAT reached the highest percentage of fruit set (80%) making it a great productive potential clone. The 44 clones were studied in an average of 50.93% of fertilization and since it can be concluded that most of which were self-compatible. Among petal across a correlation of 87.53% of one variable to another, indicating that it is a positive and significant relationship, the longer the petal its width increases.
